4/24/2007 Oh how I have delayed in updates to this site. The chickens are all grown up now and producing almost 4 dozen eggs per day. I am expanding my sales to include people outside of the office in an effort to keep up with the supply I am given. We go through the winter with zero losses from the cold, and we had some very cold spells for our area. We have lost one chicken to a hawk. I found the remains up in a tree on the other side of the farm. I wish I would have seen that. I still have to finish putting the metal on the doors to my coop. 6/25/2006 With three sides of the coops matching, we turned our attention to framing in the outdoor chicken run. By now, the chickens are getting crowded all together in Deb's coop and we both want to see them go outside and enjoy the grass and bugs. We built three frame sections and used the pasture fence for the last side.

My coop is almost all sheeted now. The door detail is still to be done, and the new roof needs to be screwed on, but the bulk of the work is done. ![]() From the back they match great.

5/01/2006 Our chickens have all arrived and are now feathered out nicely. They are
all still in Deb's coop but some are going to have to move soon. I have the
metal to make my coop look like Deb's. Guess which one is
which.
